In this article I will share my thoughts about the Shimano TL-FC41 Tool for Direct Mount Chainring, that basically helps you to install a direct mount chainring onto a Shimano Deore XT M8100 Hollowtech II crank (or the SLX M7100 version of the Shimano Direct Mount cranksets).

PRO Bikegear CO2GO+ Mini Pump review
The CO2GO+ Mini Pump from PRO Bikegear is a full aluminum mini-pump that can be used as a manual pump and a CO2 inflator. The PRO Bikegear CO2GO+ Mini Pump is robust and has two clever ways of storing the CO2 cartridge.
Finally I’ll do a brief comparison with Barbieri Moskito Pump, which is also a 2 in 1 pump.
PB Swiss Tools PB 186.6-100M Bitholder Screwdriver
In this article I will share my thoughts about the PB Swiss Tools PB 186.6-100M bitholder screwdriver with the famous PB Swiss classic handle. I will try to compare this bitholder screwdriver with different brands like Hazet, Stahlwille and Wera Tools.
Prototipo Works Valve Adaptor Presta to Schrader
In this article I will review a small item I have stored in all my saddlebags: Prototipo Works Valve Adaptor that converts Presta to Schrader. Especially with gravel riding on the Canyon Ultimate CF SL 8 and the self supporting character of gravel riding, I did put this beautiful and high quality valve adapter into my saddle bags again (even on my road bike).
Knipex Electronic Super Knips 78 61 125
In this article I will review the Knipex Electronic Super Knips with product number 78 61 125, that is the perfect tool to cut zip ties and press cable end-caps onto the shifting inner cables. For me it is one of these basic tools that have use-cases for cycling but also beyond that.
Birzman Grease Gun BM14-LGG-S with Lubrication Grease
In this article I will share my thoughts on the Birzman Grease Gun BM14-LGG-S with a tube of lubrication grease. This is a Birzman branded version on the Dualco Squeeze Type Grease guns, which is also the brand behind the Motorex Mini Grease gun.
Ergon TP1 Cleat Tool for Speedplay, Shimano SPD-SL, Look Keo pedals
The Ergon TP1 Cleat Tool for Speedplay, Shimano SPD-SL, Look Keo and Crank Brothers pedals is the perfect tool to improve your cycling ergonomics by adjusting the cleats with high accuracy in a few simple steps.
I’m riding Speedplay Zero Stainless pedals (since 2003) and bought me a pair of Sidi Wire Carbon Vernice shoes with a Speedplay specific sole. I will use the Ergon TP1 Cleat Tool to install a pair of new cleats and improve the ergonomics on my road bike.
Wheelsmfg CL-Socket for Centerlock lockrings
In this article I will review the Wheelsmfg CL-socket tool for centerlock disc-brake rotor lockrings that keep the Cyclotech Enduro Disc Rotors in place on the DT Swiss XM 1700 Spline wheels.
While the CEMA Bearing Interlock Bottom Bracket Tool or the Park Tool Bottom Bracket tool perfectly fit the front wheel, the end caps on the rear wheel are longer. So you need to remove the end-cap (and reinstall it) or use a special tool like Wheelsmfg CL-Socket.
Wera 7515 Kraftform Safe-Torque Speed Torque Screwdriver 2-6 Nm
In this article I will review the Wera 7515 Kraftform Safe-Torque Speed Torque screwdriver with a range 2-6 Nm making this an ideal torque screwdriver for bikes. I have a Ritchey Torque Key (in 5 Nm) and for a 4 Nm you would need to get an additional Torque Key. The Wera 715 is an all-in-one with 5 preset torque values.
Unior Tools Hub Genie – 627272
In this article I will review the Unior Tools Hub Genie with product# 627272 for 15 and 12 mm thru axle hubs. I’ve used the Hub Genie to remove the endcaps safely of DT Swiss 350 Hubs, that drive the DT Swiss XM 1700 Spline wheels on my Scott Scale.
Hub Genie from Unior Tools simply doesn’t damage the surface of the endcaps, compared to the use of a pipe wrench (for example Knipex Cobra) with a piece of cloth.
