In this article I will share my thoughts about the Win2 Isotonic Electrolyte Sports Drink with Lemon Tea Flavour and compare it with other sports drinks I use.
Since it was hard to get Skratch Labs Sport hydration drink mix in Matcha Green Tea & Lemon flavour I looked for alternatives for rides in warm weather.

WIN2 ISOTONIC ELECTROLYTE SPORTS DRINK
Win2 Isotonic Electrolyte Sports Drink is a package with 800 grams of powder which is good for 30 servings of 500 ml water bottles (based on the advised dosage of Win2).
In order to prevent your body temperature from rising to high, you sweat. However this fluid loss through perspiration can affect your performance. Therefore it is important to drink enough. Win2 Isotonic is an electrolyte sports drink which provides rapid replenishment of both energy and minerals thanks to its ideal osmotic concentration and carb mix (maltodextrin and dextrose).
As I’ve stated in the article: Amacx Isotonic Sports drink or Rehydration drink, I’ve tried and tested sports drinks from various brands: Maxim, Born Sports Care, Powerbar and some others like Skratch Labs, High5 or SIS. Most of the brands I’ve tested also are part of the category: Isotonic and electrolyte.

The cap that comes with the Win2 Isotonic Electrolyte Sports Drink is at least 3x the cap that comes with Born Sports Care Iso Pro Sports Drink. I first tried the advised dose with the Win2 cap, and for me that was way to sweet, but that is subjective of course. So I switched to the smaller Born Sports Care cap and used that for dosing (despite having less carb intake as advised by Win2).
With being less sweet I would describe it more like “licorice root taste” instead of lemon tea flavor taste. I like the little bitterness especially when it’s warm. Win2 Isotonic Electrolyte Sports Drink is also available in lemon and red fruit flavors.

Since I’ve tested the Win2 Energy Bar – Sports Nutrition with Chia Super food back in 2017 I know that Win2 is committed to using more natural ingredients. Chia Superfood in the Win2 Energy Bar and Stevia natural sweetener in the Isotonic Sports Drink. Personally I think this is a good approach !
Win2 Isotonic Sports Drink is also gluten-free which is good for the people who’s body reacts to gluten. The Win2 Sports Drink also consists of 120 mg magnesium per 100 grams as you can read on the product page.
CONCLUDING THOUGHTS AND WRAP-UP
Win2 Isotonic Electrolyte Sports Drink is available for the price point of € 18,– for 800 grams of powder. While it is more expensive than the Amacx Isotonic Sports drink (€ 20,– for 1800 grams) Win2 differs given the use of natural ingredients.
However I would need to compare it with Skratch Labs Sport Hydration Drink Mix in the Matcha Green Tea & Lemon flavour which is also known for using natural ingredients and the slightly higher price point. If I recall correctly the taste was had more green tea bitterness in it, but again it is subjective.
Win2 is establishing its brand, and you get good quality products. The isotonic and electrolyte characteristics are good on out on the road. I really like the commitment to using natural products and even super foods and accept the higher price tag for it. The advised dose however is way to sweet for me, but that is personal preference.
