Dynamic Carbon Assembly Paste

Dynamic Bike Care products and more in particular Dynamic Carbon Assembly Paste is part of my home mechanic toolbox for a long time. In the picture below you still see the a tube with the old color branding.

Dynamic is the preferred supplier of world tour cycling teams Jumbo Visma, Bora Hans Grohe and Alpecin-Deceuninck.

Dynamic Carbon Assembly Paste key features

On the product page of the Dynamic Carbon Assembly Paste you can read some items that make it such a great product, that is widely used.

Carbon assembly paste helps with assembling high quality carbon and aluminum bike parts by preventing the components from slipping or sliding. This paste lowers the clamping force up to 30% by preventing over tightening which could damage the components.

Dynamic Carbon assembly paste has a strong inhibitory effect without seizing or being sticky. By using this paste with the added micro pearls, sensitive carbon components are less stressed and cracking noises are reduced. The assembly paste also provides high protection against corrosion and is very resistant to water. These features make it the favorite assembly paste of several pro cycling teams.

I first encountered the Dynamic Carbon Assembly paste with micro pearls back in 2016 when a small bag was delivered with my Canyon Ultimate CF SLX road bike. Having used the Carbon Assembly paste for more than 7 years with both high quality carbon- and aluminum bike parts, without any issues. So I’ve purchased another 80 grams tube through Dynamic Bike Care. Please check the Tune Schraubwurger Seatpost Clamp review, where the pictures show the use of the Carbon Assembly Paste.

Only other alternative I would try Muc-Off Carbon Gripper paste with carbon fibers added to the paste. However the price point is almost 1.5 times more expensive with €19,00 for 75 grams compared to €12,00 for 80 grams Dynamic Carbon Assembly paste.

Concluding thoughts and wrap-up

Having a good quality assembly paste specially for the high quality carbon parts is key for every bike owner. I am a very happy Dynamic Bike Care Carbon Assembly Paste user for more than 7 years. It not only lowers the clamping force and torque required, but I’ve never experienced any creaking noises in these years.

An 80 grams tube of Assembly paste is available for a price point of around €12,00 (compared to the more expensive Muc-Off Carbon Gripper with €19,00 for 75 grams). Since I’m still going “strong” with my first 80 grams tube, I think the price point is very reasonable and fair. There might be cheaper options out there, but Dynamic Bike Care has set the standard for me when it comes to assembling carbon parts.
